PDF

Controls the initial viewing mode for the document.
Document: Displays only the docuemnt pages.
Outline: Display the table-of-contents outline as well as the document pages.
Full-screen: Displays pages on the whole screen; this mode is used primarily for presentations.
Controls the initial layout of document pages on the screen.
Single: Displays a single page at a time.
One column: Displays a single column of pages at a time.
Two column left/right: Display two columns of pages at a time; the first page is displayed in the left or right column as selected.
Choose the initial page that will be shown.

Security

Check to number all of the headings in the document.

Specifies the user password to restrict viewing permissions on this PDF document. Empty for no encryption.
Specifies the owner password to control who can change document permissions etc. If this field is left blank, a random 32-character password is generated so that no one can change the document.

Show line numbers for code blocks.
Make spaces visable by dots (·) instead of white spaces.
Make line breaks visable by a extra character (¶) at the end.

MoinMoin - Generate PDF document using HTMLDOC

This action script generate PDF documents from a Wiki site using
the HTMLDOC (http://www.htmldoc.org) software packages which has
to be preinstalled first.

Copy this script in your's MoinMoin action script plugin directory.

Thanks goes to Pascal Bauermeister who initiated the implementaion.
Lot of things changes since then but the idear using HTMLDOC is the
main concept of this implementation.

General procedures

Aggiornamento della configurazione

Dopo aver fatto l'upgrade, il tuo wiki dovrebbe continuare a funzionare normalmente (l'obbiettivo è di avere dei valori di default validi per ogni nuova impostazione di configurazione, ma ci possono essere dei difetti). Controlla che tutto funzioni correttamente, poi prenditi il tempo per verificare il contenuto del file CHANGES distruibuito col prodotto. Spesso, le nuove funzionalità non sono visibili a meno ché tu non estenda la configurazione in "moin_config.py".

Questo è particolarmente vero per:

  • macro per certi versi pericolose che non sono attivate per default, dal momento che non sono adatte per un wiki pubblico. Devono essere

    esplicitamente attivate modificando allowed_actions nella configurazione. Ora come ora, le azioni DeletePage e AttachFile sono considerate insicure.

  • supporto email: devi impostare sia mail_smarthost che mail_from.

  • icone per le nuove pagine: per accedere alle icone per le nuove pagine tipo "XML",

    la cosa migliore è cancellare l'impostazione di page_icons, ora che "config.py" fornisce un valore di default. Se l'hai modificato in passato, aggiungi le nuove icone copiandone il default da "config.py" al tuo "moin_config.py".

  • aggiornando alla versione 0.11, è consigliato impostare correttamente il valore di sitename.

Aggiornamento dei file

On every update, you should copy the content of the "wiki-moinmoin/img" directory to your "data/img" directory, normally a new release has some new Icons in it.
Pagine di sistema
When upgrading to a new version, copy at least the help pages ("Help*") to your existing directory. Then check whether you miss any new system pages.
InterWiki

Check that you have the newest entries in the "intermap.txt" file; if you have "private" entries, add them to the distribution file, then copy the result over your current file. Note that starting with version 0.11, you can point "shared_intermap" at a file loaded before the file in your data directory, which takes precedence (i.e. have global entries in the shared one, private entries the data dir file).

Risoluzione dei problemi

To make UserPreferences work, you should "mkdir -m707 user" in your "data" directory. A good idea is to run the new "test.cgi" script after you installed a new release, which will spot some common errors.

Depending on your installation, more tightly secured permissions are a good idea. Ideally, you assign all files in the data directory to the user the web server runs under, and then you use 700 or 755.
